[Executives] Action Required - Call for Bios

Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if everyone has had a chance to write up a short bio for our
newsletter, website, and new members package.

I know it can get pretty uncomfortable writing about yourself as a third
person, but imagine writing a cover letter for a resume. We've all done a
lot for the club, and it's time for us to show that. It creates a positive
image for members and guests.

Here is mine:

Kevin joined Metrospeakers in the Fall of 2006. As soon as he joined the
club, he actively participated in club activities. When a spot for the
Treasurer role opened up on the Metrospeakers Executive team in early 2007,
he jumped on board with great energy. Always looking for ways to contribute
to the club, and being someone who enjoys creative thinking, he created a
Speech Evaluation Marathon in April 2007, with the intention to help new
members to get comfortable with evaluating speeches.

He was subsequently elected as the President of the club in May 2007.

What Kevin appreciates the most from Metrospeakers is the friendly
atmosphere, and its supportive peers. For his day time career, Kevin is
currently enrolled in a rotation program at TELUS Communications. During his
spare time, Kevin enjoys reading, playing jazz guitar, and a good bike ride.

Any feedback on my entry is welcome!

If we can get everyone to submit their entry by the end of next week that
would be great! Kate is putting together the new membership package and we
would want to include these in the new edition.
