Hello Metro Speaker executives!

 

I'm pleased to bring you compliments from our Division J Governor Jason
Fong.  Our little club's website recently got the attention of the district
team!  First the good news-they were impressed with our introduction video
that is on the home page and can also be found on youtube!  I love theses
quote from the district:

"What I really noticed in their video was a room full of people.  It's no
wonder they are so successful.  We can all learn from this club."

What a great compliment to Metro Speakers and our people!  In addition they
were impressed with the minutes we produced from our executive meetings and
want to use our format as a guide!

 

Now the bad news-seems we've picked up a link to some porno site: slide.com.
(now stop laughing) :-) Ian: webmaster extraordinaire, can you fix this
problem?

I've responded to the district thanking them and saying we'll fix the prono
problem.  That aside, I think we have to really commend ourselves for
continuously creating such a fantastic club envirionment where people and
learn and grow!

Hi Sheree,

Some compliments about Metro Speakers was recently sent out to the District
team!

The video link is broken and I can't find a replacement on YouTube, but
regarding the minutes, if an e-mail was already sent to Metro Speakers'
exec, then perhaps this could be the basis of a short ed session at
January's training (likely to be the 12th or the 19th). 

You can give me a call to discuss this, or I'll just show up at Metro
Speakers tomorrow night with Wayne's trophy.

I think this club, Metro Speakers, deserves some recognition for their fine
web site   and their video on what happens at a Toastmasters meeting.

I would even like to link it to the District website as it shows all the
elements of a meeting and even an inspiration from a Toastmaster on her
growth.

 

Only one little problem, their sponsor appears to be some porno site !!
Hmmmm..

The secretary who wrote these minutes would be a great person to provide
Secretary training!

 

I have sent an email to the club asking if the District could use their exec
meeting minutes as a guide for other Club Secretaries who struggle with

preparation of the minutes.
