Hello all,

 

This sounds good as long as you explain to the group that the pins will be
for the members who get their titles in this current year.  (Then it's up to
next year's executive if they want to continue that)

Thanks for this note.

We did talk about this a bit during the executive meeting. As a form of
motivation, we could purchase these pins and present them to the members
after they complete their designations. A pin is slightly more substantial
than ribbons, and they are relatively inexpensive considering our strong
current club balance. Plus, although we do wish that we can have as many
people achieving their titles as possible, realistically only about 10 - 15
people will receive titles during a given year, so it's not that much of a
cost to order pins for them. 

The tricky question is what about the members who have completed their
titles in past. We can't really go back and buy pins for all the past
members, so it was tentatively decided during the executive meeting that we
will award members who have obtained their titles in the current fiscal
year, with a few exceptions for those who have completed their titles near
the end of the last fiscal year. Again, if people strongly request for pins,
we can order the pins for them. 

Please let us know if you have any concerns with this.

AC Bronze etc. It's been the past policy for each person to order their own
pins on line.
