We could explain the significance of Feb 27 and dress in a pink shirt etc.
for our meeting the following day-Riccardo is chair, maybe the theme could
be changed to stop bullying and send a notice to the members explaining the
story and asking them to wear pink?

Also we could do a group photo in front of our TM banner with everybody
wearing something pink

I found some info on the story on google for background:

Hello Executives

How about a Pink Day/night next FEB 27/2008.

Everyone dresses up in something Pink. We film it and send it off to John.

Hello Metro Speakers,

Please see below for information on Toastmaster John Hawkins. Some of you
may have met him at the last fall conference. John has been involved with
Toastmasters for years and is a great speaker & author and has a chance to
win his own talk show for a year!

Thanks for reading,

Sheree Gable

Your Area 82 Governor

Hi all. Well, here I am, asking for the help of the Toastmasters'
community:

As you may know, I am in the semi-finals of the CKNW radio Talk Show Idol
contest where, if I win, I get a weekly talk show for a year. Anyway, one
of the challenges they have give me this week is to create awareness and
results around the CKNW initiative "Bullying Stops Here", a campaign where
they want to turn the spotlight on bullying in the workplace, at home, at
school, on the net, etc. Their campaign ends on Feb 27 when they are
encouraging everyone to wear pink in support of "Bullying Stops Here".

Here's where I could use TM help: could you send this out to all your Area
Govs and club presidents: let the clubs know about the campaign. (That will
help me get "points" for raising awareness). Also, if anyone in Tm decides
to wear pink on Feb 27, ask them to email me so that I can also say that "X
people are supporting the campaign" (getting me "points" for results).

Anyway, anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
