[Executives] Extreme membership contest

Hello Metro exec's,

 

Have you looked at the district's "Extreme Attitude" membership building
contest lately?  We are currently at 12 new members and most clubs are not
even CLOSE to our number!!!  The extreme contest runs until March 31, so
make sure those new member applications are sent in to TI.  Check link

This is a great thing which also carries great responsibility.  Ask yourself
if you seek out guests to welcome, speak to during the break, answer
questions after the meeting, or do you just chat with members?  We always
need to remember what it was like when WE first walked in that door.   Who
greeted us, who shook our hand, who answered questions about Metro Speakers?
Who made us want to join and be a part of Toastmasters?

 

Trust me when I say that some clubs are really struggling, as area governor
I have seen clubs who have offered free membership to new members for 3
months, have numerous open houses and offer various incentives, and they
still don't have the number of guests/members we do each week.  We have a
fabulous website, free room and storage and in my 5 years at the club we
have never done significant advertising to pull in members, the guests come
on a regular basis and most become members, making our job in membership
easy.  Let's keep up the good work executives, I am proud of each and every
one of you!
