[MetroMembers] Summer Social 2007- Communication

Hello Metrospeakers.

The Summer Social 2007 A.K.A. Christmas in August event held at the Bonsor Community Centre was a resounding and unmitigated success.

Thank you one and all for doing what you needed to do!

Fun was had by all. The gift exchange was warmly received. And for all those that could not attend, you missed out on a fun time of food, music, games and networking. The potluck variety of foods was amazing. Pictures will be forthcoming in the next few weeks on our website. And in the Club Newsletter you will see the highlights.

Attendance at the event was spectacular and far beyond expectations( I think it was 30 people).  Both members and guests pitched in to help out where it was needed. Please let your friends/guests know that Metrospeakers appreciated your efforts. And I hope they will sign up as members. 

I want to take this time to express my appreciation and thanks to the following people as listed below.( And if I missed anyone it is because I am still coming off this buzz of excitement). Let me know if I forgot to mention you. You all have to be recognized.

The Executive for supporting the event(Kevin, Gary, Kate, Ricardo, Robert, Ronald)

Yuliya and the Volunteer team (combination of members and guests-(give me your names) - organizing the committees, food delivery, shopping, showing up early to help setup/cleanup of the Conference Room.

To put on a successful event, it takes planning,organization and hard work. An event is only is good as its supporters.
