Here's the 4 training sessions I spoken about at the end of today's meeting.
These sessions are for Saturday, November 10th at Douglas College (700 Royal
Ave) in New Westminster. See details below.
I personally will not be able to attend. If someone does attend, please talk
to me at the next meeting ... or plan a speech on it! I'm interested in
hearing all about this event.

Four Sessions;
1. Train the Trainer
2. Training for Officers of Newly Chartered clubs, (and others, not
for DCP)
3. Creating a New Club, becoming a Sponsor or Mentor
4. Be a Club Coach Hero
When? Saturday November 10th (check times of specific sessions
below)
Where? Douglas College, New Westminster
700 Royal Avenue, (easy access from Sky train)
Please Pre-register, to facilitate planning of coffee, and copies
1. Train the Trainer
9:30 AM until 2:30 PM
What does it take to give meaningful training sessions that capture and keep
attention?
Some of the topics covered; analyzing gaps in participants knowledge,
answering questions, (when, why and how), dealing with different
personalities types, creating a learning atmosphere, nuts and bolts of
training, (using flip charts and other media).This training will help
prepare you to give training for officers, or at conferences.
Cost? $10, includes lunch
2. Training for Officers of Newly Chartered Clubs
9:30 - 11:30 AM
Overview of each officer position and specific ideas . Goal setting
TM style. Creating a great atmosphere. Participating outside your club to
keep the excitement in your club. What are the resources for our success?
All members of any new club welcome. Show off your leadership, get your
executive members there!
Cost $3 each or $10. per club with
minimum, four executive members
3. Creating a New Club, becoming a Sponsor or Mentor 12:30
to 2:30 PM
Your questions will be answered including: What is the difference
for the two positions? What will I learn? What does it take to be
successful? Do I have enough experience to do a good job? What resources are
there to support me? Aren't there already enough clubs?
Cost? $3, includes snack
4. Be a Club Coach Hero;
9:30 - 11:30 AM
Making a match with a club that needs a coach. What is a coach? Which clubs
need / want a coach? Why would I want to do this? Am I qualified to coach a
club. What resources are there?
Cost? $3, includes snack
