Hello MetroSpeaker Members,

 

More leadership training available from Toastmasters Leadership Institute.
See below for details.  Deadline for registration is 12:00 (noon) this
Thursday, November 29th.  Training will be held on December 1st (this
Saturday) at Vancouver General Hospital.  The cost is quite reasonable and
includes snacks and/or lunch depending on the session.

2. PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE, for Dummies & Smarties; 

KEEN PRESENTER; Division E Governor, ILAN HELLER 

Procedures for fair  business meetings to enlist the enthusiasm of all
members in the running of your club meetings. Make your club a Democracy!
Minimum standard for Toastmasters clubs is; one business meeting a month,
during your club meeting.  (See President’s manual). Get ideas from all
members, keep it fun and learn the process. 

Registration 9:30 AM   Start time:  10 AM 

Course Time:  2 ½ hours

3. Toastmasters, “BETTER SPEAKER” Series; all 10 modules. 

The Toastmaster International Better Speaker Series has 10 15 minute
modules. 

Presented by 10 Toastmasters. You will see different speaking styles and
learn about speaker skills like; finding topics, creating interesting
openings and closings to your speech, taking the terror out of talk, how to
create impromptu speeches, creating an introduction, organizing your speech,
know your audience
. and more 

Registration 9:30 AM   Start time:  10 AM 

4 hours total with lunch and coffee
