[MetroMembers] Area 82 contest results

Hello all,

 

For those of you who missed the area 82 contest tonight at the club, we had
a great turnout as 3 clubs in the area went head to head in competition in
front of a big audience.  I think there were only 3 chairs empty?!  After
the dust settled, the results came down like this:

 

International Speech Contest

1st place: John Cimino

Runner up:  Wayne Ostrowercha

 

Evaluation Contest

1st place: John Cimino

Runner up:  Kevin Wang

 

Thanks to Metro Speakers for providing so many people to help in this
contest.  You truly are a star club in area 82 and have made my job very
easy.  I'd like to thank:

 

Chief Judge: Gary Fuhr

Judges: Anthony Tam, Jessica Chong 

Timers:  Kate Jang, Emma Han

Ballot Counter:  Ricardo Moromisato

 

And I'm pleased to announce we have a new incoming Area 82 Governor who will
once again be from Metro Speakers:  Ricardo Moromisato!  Ricardo will start
his term on July 1st.  Congratulations Ricardo!

 

I'm looking forward to the Division J contest on April 19th in the New
Westminster library auditorium-see you all there.
