[MetroMembers] External Speaking Opportunity

Dear fellow Metrospeakers,


I'm pleased to announce that there is an external speaking opportunity
coming up on Friday, February 22nd from 12:30PM to 1:30PM at Eton College in
Burnaby.

An instructor at Eton College has contacted Metrospeakers a few weeks ago,
hoping to have one or two members coming to their class and talk about
Toastmasters. And if time permits, the members can perhaps deliver a sample
speech.

This is a great opportunity for senior members of the club to use your
public speaking skills outside of Metrospeakers. I had the fortune to
deliver a speech to a group of students at Ashton college last year, and I
must say that it was an exhilarating experience. Because you are
representing Metrospeakers, one of the most successful clubs in
Vancouver/Burnaby, you will be challenged to delivery a high quality speech.

For this reason, the executive team would like to open this opportunity to
two active members who have completed project CC # 6. Please reply back to
this email if you are interested and qualified, and the members will be
chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis.

We are hoping to find more of these opportunities for our members, so stay
tuned. And better yet, if you know any organization that might be interested
in Metrospeakers, do let the executive team know.
