Metrospeakers,

Interesting in attending the District 21 Spring Conference in Nanaimo? If
you have the time, I personally recommend going after attending the 2007
Fall Conference in Harrison Hot Springs. The conference starts the evening
of May 9th and I expect ends early afternoon of May 11th. See below for
more details. Register before Feb 28 and save $20.

Subject: Save $20 at the 2008 Spring Conference and "Catch the Wave"

Fellow Toastmasters:

In 1993, Nanaimo hosted one of the best Spring Conferences that I
had ever been to. It was called "Seas the Moment", and remained at the top
of my list for long time.

  <http://www.nanaimo2008.com/assets/images/untitled.jpg> Nanaimo
will be the host site for the 2008 Spring Conference called "Catch the
Wave". I'm betting they'll try to surpass their last resounding success. The
date is May 9-10-11th 2008.

SECRET: You can save $20.00 if you catch the EARLY WAVE by registering
before Feb 28! Check out the rates below:

Up to Feb 28, 2008......................full pkg for $179.00
Up to Conference.........................full pkg for $199.00

The festivities get underway at 4 pm on Friday at the Coast Bastion
Hotel, with the Opening Ceremonies scheduled for 6:00 pm in the Grand
Ballroom.

Saturday will be packed with Educational Sessions, Award Luncheon, District
21 Business Meeting, INTERNATIONAL SPEECH CONTEST, Keynote Speaker, dancing
and catching up with old friends and acquaintances in the Hospitality Room.

Sunday morning you'll enjoy a buffet breakfast, find yourself evaluating the
EVALUATION CONTEST speakers, and marveling at another Keynote Speaker while
you enjoy a Farewell Brunch prior to the Closing Ceremonies.

Talk this over with your Toastmaster friends and plan to be there. Sharing
rooms andtransportation not only doubles the fun and enjoyment, but helps
reduce the cost for all.

   Why attend a Spring Conference?

Think of it as going back to the well when you're thirsty. This is where
you greet and meet other Toastmasters from all over the province (people
you'll be looking for at the very next one)

*	Learn what works and what doesn't in clubs similar to your own.

*	Stock up on educational material from the workshops to share with
your club members back home. Buy new supplies from the District Stores.

*	Be there to experience the moment when unexpected things happen ...
and they always do. Elect your new District Team for 2008-2009.

*	Marvel at the incredible delivery & performance of the Keynote
Speakers.

*	Hear for yourself the Champion Public Speakers from 10 different
Divisions, talk to them and find out how many times they've entered; see the
overwhelming support offered by their clubs.

*	People like "Huggie Dougie Anderson" in Club 59 (Vancouver's 1st
club) attend every Conference----why? He's a people person, and every
Conference is different. It has a different theme/emphasis, the speakers
and contestants are different each time and he's comes away feeling pumped
and inspired. This is where he fuels up for the road ahead.

In case you're wondering, it's being hosted by a club in Campbell River,
Division G and thoughtfully, they have chosen a central location for us in
Nanaimo.

Finally, see for yourself all the excitement of a conference through photos
from the 2007 Fall Conference held in Harrison Hot Springs. You can also
