Education Session Presentation Proposal
(Please read the proposal submission rules and then provide the following
information.)

2. SPEAKERS BRIEF BIO
Please provide a brief 'Toastmasters Resume' and/or your background
experience in your subject - about 100 words in length, for use in brochure.
If selected, you may be asked for more detail.
3. TOASTMASTERS LEVEL ACHIEVED (CTM, ATM, etc).
If CTM or other level has been repeated, please indicate how many times,
e.g.: "CTM 3 times".
4. YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Please provide years of experience as a Toastmaster and/or other public
speaking (for example "2 years TM and 4 years teaching night school")
5. EDUCATIONAL TRACK
Indicate the track that would best apply:
Communication
Leadership
Toastmasters
6. PROPOSED TITLE FOR YOUR EDUCATION SESSION
7. DESCRIPTION OF YOUR EDUCATION SESSION
Give a detailed description of your proposed education session and how it
will benefit your audience.
If your proposal is selected you may be asked provide a 40 word summary to
use in the brochure.
8. LIST AUDIO VISUAL OR OTHER EQUIPMENT NEEDED
(Presenters are responsible for preparing and producing their own
visual aids and hand-out materials. Please provide your own assistant. A
person to introduce you will be provided.)
9. DESCRIBE BRIEFLY YOUR PREVIOUS PRESENTATION EXPERIENCE
10. PROVIDE REFERENCES, TESTIMONIALS & EVALUATIONS
(from other Toastmasters or non-Toastmasters events)

Toastmasters International 2008 District 21 Spring Conference
Education Session Proposal Submission Rules
Submission Rules, Deadline and Procedures:
1. Competitors in the International Speech Contest and Evaluation
Speech contest are not eligible to be either education or mini-education
presenters.
2. Since there are a limited number of education session time slots
available, not all proposals can be accommodated. The final selection of
proposals will be made by the 2008 Conference Committee. Changes of topic
require advance approval from the Conference Committee.
3. Education program sessions should be conducted by members in good
standing of clubs in good standing.
4. Previous conference presenters are welcome to submit proposals.
5. Potential presenters are invited to submit proposals for one
Education Session.
6. The deadline for submissions is 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008-
however, we ask that you make your submissions as soon as possible so that
we don't receive them all in the last minute.
7. Submissions are to be made only in electronic format, as Microsoft
Word, Rich Text or Adobe PDF files and sent to Education Chair at
ledgett at shaw.ca
8. If no acknowledgement is received within a couple days of
transmission, it is the responsibility of the prospective presenter to
contact Education Co-Chair, Lindy Edgett at 250-754-0896
9. Selected presenters will be contacted and provided with further
instructions after the Conference Committee has completed the screening and
selection process.
