award the Bud Singbeil trophy on <u>July 17</u>. </span><span

color:navy'>For the benefit of our relatively new members, this award is named
after Bud Singbeil, a vibrant toastmaster who was a traveling salesman.
Bud was a big husky fellow who sold beauty products for spas and hair
salons-proof that you can’t judge a book by its cover. Bud traveled
a lot and made it a point to check out many Toastmaster clubs while on the
road. Marc Hurtubise and Sheree Gable, the new Division J Governor, met
him at a conference back at 2003 and he included Metro Speakers in his visit
shortly afterwards where he blew those in attendance away with a great table
topic and a heartfelt speech during closing comments. Sadly some years
ago Bud suddenly passed away. We award the Bud Singbeil plaque in his
honour twice a year: once around Christmas and once again at the end of
June/beginning of July. The award stands for excellence and dedication in
our Toastmaster club.</span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'><o:p></o:p></span></p>
