Hi Metrospeakers,<BR>

Thank you for all reply, your support and volunteering. Today, the meeting will be Table Topic Marathon. The theme of tonight will be <BR>

<STRONG><FONT size=4>"Experience teaches nothing, but evaluated experience teaches everything". </FONT></STRONG><BR>
<STRONG><FONT size=4></FONT></STRONG> <BR>
It is important to understand how you did as a toastmaster in the past year, in order to effectively plan for the current year. For new memebers, your past experience in an event in different perspectives in your life<BR><BR>Here are a few questions you can ask yourself:<BR><BR>- Did I set concrete goals for myself?<BR>- Have I achieved those goals? If not, what were the reasons?<BR>- What are my goals for the current year? Are they realistic based on my commitments?<BR>- If there were one thing that I need to work on, what would it be?<BR>- How can I help someone else in this club?<BR>

We are already fit the theme. One thing I have learned is "wait and things will turn even better." Again! Thanks for those who are steping out to make this meeting happen!<BR>

<DIV dir=ltr>Dear fellow members,<BR><BR><BR>As the fiscal year of 2007 - 2008 has already concluded, I encourage you to take sometime to reflect on your progress in the past year. John C. Maxwell once said the following: "Experience teaches nothing, but evaluated experience teaches everything". I believe in this statement wholeheartedly, and you would benefit a lot from applying this statement to your toastmaster career.<BR><BR>The idea of a performance review has long been instilled in the corporate world. If you work at a company, you would most likely have been through a performance evaluation process, and the goal is to to understand your areas of strength and development, so you can learn from the past and set new goals for yourself to ensure continuous growth in the near future. The same idea applies in Toastmasters. It is important to understand how you did as a toastmaster in the past year, in order to effectively plan for the current year.<BR><BR>Here are a few questions you can ask yourself:<BR><BR>- Did I set concrete goals for myself?<BR>- Have I achieved those goals?
