Build your confidence in public speaking

Join us to become a confident public speaker, improve your communication skills, expand your network, advance your career, and have fun!

Metro Speakers Toastmasters is a friendly and open club that meets every week. Anyone (18 years of age or older) is welcome to join as a guest for as many meetings as you would like, no matter where you are located (all for free too)!

1. When?

Thursdays, 6:00PM – 8:00PM PT

For guests, simply show up to a meeting 10 minutes before the start time so we can properly say hello!

Our meetings generally follow this outline:

  • 5:50 – 6:00PM Networking
  • 6:00 – 6:50PM Opening remarks, prepared speeches and speech evaluations
  • 6:50 – 7:00PM Break
  • 7:00 – 7:30PM Table topics (improvised speeches)
  • 7:30 – 8:00PM Evaluations, reports and announcements

2. Where?

Metro Speakers conducts in-person meetings at Metropolis @ Metrotown.

We meet in Community Room 460.

3. What’s next?

  1. During your first meeting, our VP of Membership or a member of the Executive team will connect with you, either before the meeting or during the break.
  2. We will ask for your contact information so that we can send you information about our club and fees.
  3. If you decide to join us, you can pay the fees and we will process your membership. This may take a few days so please be patient with us. If you haven’t decided, you can continue to participate as a guest for as long as you wish.
  4. Please note, all members must be 18 years of age or older as per Toastmasters International policies.
